Brayco Micronic 882 - Flame-retardant hydraulic fluid, based on synthetic hydrocarbons

Castrol Brayco Micronic 882 is an ISO viscosity grade 15 synthetic hydrocarbon hydraulic fluid for use in the aerospace, defense and industrial sectors. It does not contain additives increasing the value of the viscosity index and, unlike conventional hydraulic fluids, it is not endangered by the shear of the polymer chains. It can be used as a substitute or supplement for MIL-PFR-5606 oils. It is also compatible with oils according to the MIF-PRF-6083 specification in any proportion. Brayco Micronic 882 has a high flash point and burning point, an extremely high auto-ignition temperature and a very low flame spread rate. Moreover, its properties ensure control over the swelling of the rubber seals over a long period of their operation. It also has a low foaming tendency, provides excellent protection against abrasive wear and corrosion, and is resistant to oxidation.

Application
Brayco Micronic 882 was developed primarily as a flame retardant hydraulic fluid for aviation and guided missile applications, but also has many industrial applications where flame and fluid toxicity pose a threat. Brayco Micronic 882 is a direct replacement for oils according to the MIL-PRF- 5606 specification.
